Creating and Processing Batches

Batches are the most efficient way to process a large number of orders consecutively.

A batch is a collection of pick lists that you pick and process together. This allows you to process all pick lists for a specific customer or product, saving a significant amount of walking time.

Creating a Batch

A batch can be created in two ways. The most common method is by creating a batch under specific conditions. The other method is by manually selecting pick lists and adding them to a new batch.

Creating a Batch with Conditions

1. Click on Batches in the left menu.

2. Click + New Batch in the top right corner.

3. Fill in all the conditions your batch must meet. At the bottom, you will see how many pick lists, products, and locations will be included in this batch. The more conditions you specify, the fewer pick lists will be in the batch.

4. Once you have selected the conditions, number of pick lists, and user, create the batch by clicking Create Batch in the top right corner.

Creating a Batch from the Pick List Overview

1. Go to the pick list overview via the left menu.

2. Filter which pick lists you want to view and then select which pick lists you want to include in the batch. If you want to include all pick lists, remember to click Select All after filtering.

3. Click Select Action, then Create Batch.

4. If you want to add more pick lists later, you can do so via the same method by adding them to an existing batch.

Processing a Batch

Once the batch is created, you will see an overview of all pick lists and their associated products. You can also add more pick lists, remove existing pick lists, or remove products with their associated pick lists from the batch.

  1. Pick all the products. To process a batch, it is recommended to pick all products first. You can print a page with the products you need to pick using the Print Batch PDF button. If there are more products than you can carry, consider creating a batch with fewer pick lists or products.

  2. Once all products are picked, start processing the pick lists beginning with A.

  3. Process the pick list as you would process any other pick list. Above the products in the pick list, you can also see which batch the pick list belongs to.

  4. After processing the first pick list, click Next Pick List to move to pick list B.

  5. When all pick lists are processed, the batch will be marked as complete and transition to the next open pick list.
